Bacalhau A Lagareiro

What to eat in La Union - Magellan's (Bacalhau a lagareiro)

If you like cod, then you're in luck - Magellan's has 3 different bacalhau dishes for you to choose from! For our meal, we ordered their bestseller, the Bacalhau A Lagareiro (Php 799). In this dish, the cod fish is grilled and toasted in olive oil. It comes with baked potatoes, onion and black olives, too, and is good for sharing.

Chicken Piri-Piri

One of their most popular dishes, the Chicken Piri-Piri (Php 475) is marinated in Magellan's own special piri-piri sauce, then grilled & served with a perfect balance of mixed salad and fries, This dish is also good for sharing!

Piña Colada

What to eat in La Union - Magellan's (Pina Colada)

Despite not being huge pineapple fans, we enjoyed the sweet Piña Colada (Php 145)! A good drink to have while watching the sun go down.

Sangria

What to eat in La Union - Magellan's (Sangria)

Delicious red sangria, that's just a little more bitter than we're used to! The good thing is that you can choose to order this by the glass (Php 180) or by the pitcher (Php 499), which is a no-brainer, especially when you're there with friends!

Frozen Margarita

The Frozen Margarita (Php 145) was, by far, our favorite drink! It wasn't just delicious, it had just the right amount of alcohol and gave the best bang for our buck - in other words, sulit!

Grape-flavored Shisha

What to eat in La Union - Magellan's (Grape shisha)

The Magellan's experience wouldn't be complete without trying their shisha. At Php 300 per hour, you can pick from fun flavors, like bubble gum and mojito, or stick to the classics, like grape and strawberry.
